Beautiful! - The house was everything shown in the pictures. Takes about 20 minutes of 4x4 1st & 2nd gear driving to reach the house from the main road, but that is definitely part of the adventure that gets you the spectacular views from the house. Scala and Bar Jolly Roger are great food options closest to the house. Cannot say enough good things about the house and its private lot. We enjoyed seeing toucans morning and evening each day. The cody was cool to see as well, but it will definitely go after the trashcan after you put the first bag in it - so keep the bungies tight. - This is a stunning place. You basically live in the jungle, with fantastic views and wild animals (Coati, Toucans, huge toads, monkeys) to watch from the living room or bedroom. Perfect to wind down. Thanks to the additional bug-proof doors, you can leave the glass doors open and it feels like sleeping in a jungle. The house is equipped with all cooking gear, but bring your own spices and food. The pool is lovely and of course a favorite for our kids. We also loved the nicely tended garden. Oscar and Esteban are excellent hosts - always available for any questions, helpful with tips and very friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, the road indeed is somewhat challenging (very steep and long, only manageable with 4x) , so this is a place to stay and not the best basis for short trips down and up. I f you follow this (i.e. if we recommend doing the trip down to the sea not too often and bring food for several days). If you follow this advice, you are in for a treat. - Matthias, S.

You can rent a piece of paradise! - This property is absolutely perfect. I usually try to add some constructive criticism but with this home I am 100% happy. We were just two and the place was perfectly sized, even with two more it would work well. We spent most of time time outside gazing at the magnificent view and I suspect you would too. The house is stocked with essentials and very, very comfortable. A highlight was being greeted within minutes of our arrival by a flock of Toucans that visited regularly each morning. You need a 4x4. Spectacular secluded getaway - Do not let the drive from the highway discourage you, it is so worth it! The roads are very well maintained, just really steep so 4wd is a must. Besides, once you get there, you never want to leave. We were so happy with the time spent there, it was very private, and the views were absolutely captivating. One of my many favorite features was the unique shower which opened up into a lush garden area that was like the garden of Eden. Oscar our concierge was so helpful. Breathtaking Views - My family stayed here for 7 nights. A fantastic home tucked into the jungle. The views are really amazing. We spent a lot of time in the pool gazing out at the vista. We highly recommend a stay here. The only thing that we thought could be improved upon was the router for the internet was old and therefore the connection was not as good as it could have been. Amazing View - Absolutely impressed with this property. The view and the home itself, was so nice and well kept that I never wanted to leave. Could have sat by the pool all day with a view like this. Our concierge Oscar was without a doubt the best resource on this trip, he was always available for help or questions. He even went on our white water rafting trip with us!! 5 stars for Oscar! Oscar also escorted us up the mountain on arrival to make sure we found our way perfectly. Our first trip up the mountain was a little intense but got better each trip up and down. Beautiful Rain Forest Vacation Home - If you’re looking for amazing views, this house is for you! High up in the hills outside of Dominical and Uvita, it’s a great house with a great property manager. He was in constant contact with us as needed for different things such as booking adventures and power outages. Things you need to know for this house: the 4x4 car is not an option. It’s a fun and amazing drive getting up to the house on (mostly) unpaved roads for 4 miles. If you’re not the adventurous type, this house might not be for you. The drive is worth it though as the views you see in the picture are 100% what you get. We saw Toucans every morning, usually 3-4. We had a friendly Coati come by our house as well (pretty much a Costa Rican raccoon). There were 3 frogs/toads that came by every night to join us next to the pool. This is Costa Rica, so just know your power might go out and flicker every so often, but just make the best of it and enjoy the amazing views and environment. I’ve already told my friends and hope they get to experience this house if they make the trip down! - Christian, M.

There’s not a better view of the “Whale’s Tail” than this! - Initial feelings were a bit mixed while following Oscar, the property manager, up the road. I had read all the reviews but you really have to experience it to understand. Let me tell you that when we pulled into the driveway, all of our worried dissolved! I have not seen a view like that and it’s worth every minute of the 20 min drive up. Oscar told us that the first time was the worst and the second is better- it was very true! After that first drive, every other one was a breeze! He assured us it was safe even in rain and it was. Now about the property!! Absolutely breathtaking! I can’t imagine there is a better view in the area than the one we had. The infinity pool was refreshing and beautiful. Every morning we watched the toucans playing in the trees. The landscaping was meticulous and beautifully done. Inside the house we had everything we needed! The dishwasher was a bonus! The house was clean and tidy and had games and movies for the kids. A/C in the bedrooms also spilled over to the main space so it was always nice and cool inside. What a beautiful/comfortable space! We do hope to return one day! Thank you, Oscar for your help! A wonderful house, spectacular view! - We spent 5 days at Olas Azul with a family of 4. The house can not be better: fully equipped with everything you can ask for, super-well climatized and with all the privacy you can ask for. The view across the forest and the ocean is breathtaking. We even spent a few days in the house and pool only without driving down. Be aware that you need a 4-wheel drive and a bit of patience and getting here from the main road - but you will be rewarded ten times over. - Patrick, Z.

- The property was clean and well maintained and had an incredible view. It should be called Casa Toucan as we had daily visitors of as many as 12 Toucans simultaneously in the trees around the pool... the only downside was the long drive (18 minutes or so from the Coast Highway) up a mostly dirt and gravel road. Excellent family vacation - Wonderful home to spend a week in. Great views every morning and waking up to the sound of howler monkeys. So many birds and coatis around. The house sits high up on a mountaintop, about 30 mins from Uvita or dominical, but there are 2 great places for food only 12 minutes away, Scala and Sibu. We are at both multiple times and the food is excellent, highly recommend. The house was equip with everything we needed and communication with the property manager was excellent. A Serene Retreat Amidst Costa Rica s Breathtaking Wilderness - I recently had the privilege of staying at this magnificent house nestled amidst the lush greenery of Costa Rica s mesmerizing mountains. Just a 25-minute drive up the mountainside, this secluded oasis offered an unparalleled escape from the bustle of everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the symphony of nature that surrounded me. Perched on a hill, the house boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The first thing that caught my eye was the sparkling pool, glistening under the tropical sun. It provided the perfect spot to cool off after a long day of exploration or simply to laze around, soaking up the stunning vistas. One of the highlights of my stay was the vibrant wildlife that visited the property. As I sat on the terrace, I was treated to an orchestra of sounds from the feathered residents of the jungle. Toucans gracefully glided from tree to tree, their colorful beaks a sight to behold. Howler monkeys, with their distinctive calls, could be heard in the distance, adding to the enchantment of the place. I even had the pleasure of encountering jungle chickens, their vibrant plumage adding a touch of whimsy to the surroundings. The house itself was a haven of comfort and elegance. - This place is the greatest. I would recommend this to any and everyone. The view is unbelievable. It literally had to be seen to be believed. Very private outdoor area. The house itself it great. Everything you need is there and super comfortable. Just be sure to bring some oil/butter and salt/pepper/seasonings, as there is none. Oscar was a great concierge and helped answer any/all questions about the area. Road up to the house was a surprise at first, but it turns into a fun drive after you do it once. Worth every minute it takes to get up there. There is also a nice restaurant on the dirt road up to the house called Scala. Highly recommend it for upscale food and drinks. Just past that is a bar called Jolly Roger for beers and wings with an excellent view. The only reason I would recommend you don’t book this spot is so to prevent you potentially taking time away that I could spend here. - Alec, K.

- Beautiful, luxury feel home with stunning view. Exactly as pictured and everything was clean and comfortable. The drive up is steep but pretty easy to navigate if you are used to hills/mountains. We did, however, decide to only make the trip down once a day. This worked well for us - relaxing mornings and evenings at the house and all day out exploring. Bring groceries - no nearby market. Also, the house is well equipped but does not have staple pantry items and minimal shampoo/conditioner. Once you get to the main highway, it is a great location to access Uvita, Ojochal, and Dominical. The nearby beach Playa Hermosa is wonderful and they have snacks, a small souvenir market, and small surf/boogie board and chair and umbrella rentals. The restaurants in Dominical and Uvita were very fun, and we really enjoyed a sunset dinner at Bar Jolly Roger (about a third of the way up the road that gets you to the house). - Julie, P.

- The home is super amazing, with the infinity-pool overlooking the ocean and ‘whales tail’ in the higher mountain jungle. The two bedroom home has all the kitchen appliances/needs, outdoor bbq grill & cooking needs for your stay there! The cons about the home (only reason I gave 4-stars not 5…)—construction going on all around the neighborhood that starts at 6-7am ends about 2-3pm; 4WD is REQUIRED and it takes 40min to get there from the main highway; heights/shear cliff sides along the narrow roadway with many cars/trucks to pass while driving, which would be horrible during rainy season! You’ll also need get all your food, drink & groceries needs (coffee too) before you get there because it takes so long/hard to get there (downloaded goggle maps)! Lastly, there is not much to do around the home or allow proper time to get off the mountain if doing an excursion, but they do have a tennis court & workout room up the road about 10min away. - Bob, Y.

Great view and great birding - The property was just as listed and perfect for us. You definitely need four wheel drive to go up and down the mountain. The house had everything we needed and had nice breezes at night. We saw so many different kinds of birds that we couldn’t keep track. The toucans came by daily and the tanagers were various and plenty. Ur only minor issue was that the previous tenant’s garbage was still in the bin outside and a coati got into it at night stinking up the bathroom that had an open window. - If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, private getaway you cant do better than this place. Gorgeous house and location. We stayed for our honeymoon, and it was incredible. Our concierge Oscar was so responsive, friendly, and helpful the entire time. He made the trip that much more enjoyable. The town of Dominical was quaint and friendly, and loved it. You will need a 4WD vehicle to get to the house, which is about 20 minutes up a pretty steep and bumpy dirt road. But if you are up for the adventure, you will absolutely love it. - Vincent, S.

- Beautiful place — a great stay! Gorgeous view of the Whale Tail and lots of toucans to greet you in the mornings. We loved looking out at the jungle and the ocean while swimming in the infinity pool. Plenty of cookware (though yes, you do need to buy all of your groceries including oil and condiments — the super right before Dominical has a great selection). Comfortable accommodations including a washer and dryer which definitely were useful toward the end of our trip. Oscar was such a kind and gracious contact — he gave us an awesome recommendation with Bahia Adventures for a whale watching tour and we saw humpback whales and false killer whales for the first time :) All in all a great choice if you are staying in Uvita/Dominical. - This place is stunning! The ride through the hills was an adventure in itself (4x4 required). Seeing the diverse plant life was really special. The route ends at a sloped drive where a beautifully manicured yard comes into view. From there it just keeps getting better. The view of the ocean and whale tail is spectacular! This place is gorgeous from every angle, thoughtfully designed and cared for. It’s stocked with the things you actually need without being cluttered. The outdoor living space is perfect with many different seating options. (We definitely spent most of our time in the hammock). The interior is also thoughtfully done and very clean and fresh. The beds and bedding are comfy. The outdoor shower was a happy surprise. And it was very nice to have access to a large, nice washer/dryer. We booked last minute, and were blown away by Esteban, Oscar, and their team. They had the house ready for us (before 3), waited at the gate to show us in, and were very friendly. - This house is incredible! The views and the atmosphere are so spectacular. We have visited this house twice now (first as a couple, then with our children) and we hate to leave. Amazing view! - This property was beautiful. The pool was lovely and the view incredible. I would strongly advise against driving here in the dark and rain. That was how we came in the first day and it was a little stressful. A 4x4 vehicle is the only way to go. The roads are dirt/gravel and very steep in some spots, but entirely manageable with 4 wheel drive. Oscar was wonderful to work with. He set up our rental car with no issues. This home is within a 30 minute drive to Playa Dominicalito to get to the beach and Super Dominical (market) OR in the other direction Uvita Beach and other markets/restaurants. We did whale watching through Bahai Adventuras in Uvita and ate at Las Esteras down by the Bellena National Park entrance. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you! - Rachelle, B.

- This Airbnb was above and beyond what we expected! August starts the rainy season, and although we did not know that until we got there, it added to the experience. Sun was shining from 6am-5pm and once the sun went down it thunder stormed gracefully every night. We loved watching the storms. We were visited by wildlife of every kind during our stay. We used taxis and shuttles, rather than renting a vehicle, but note that it was about a half hour drive from the city of Dominical up into the mountains of our Airbnb. Incredibly private- we had no neighbors or unexpected visits. This was our honeymoon trip and it exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed in our Airbnb for about a week, with two days going into the city and doing excursions. Note that the Airbnb was not stocked with any kitchen cooking essentials, particularly spices, condiments, etc. The wifi was incredible given the location. Thank you to Oscar, for coordinating all of our shuttles and excursions, and for Esteban, for this beautiful Airbnb. Also shoutout to Norman (our taxi driver), Vici (horse therapist and plant medicine teacher), and Juan Carlos for our incredible wildlife tour at Hacienda Barú. Costa Rica is a place like no other. - We had an amazing time here! The house is amazing and the view truly can’t be overstated. Oscar was amazing to have helping us at each step and the area is beautiful. Some cautions: the road is as steep and windy as they say, 4x4 drive definitely necessary. It takes about 25 min to get up and down each trip. Also, because of the remote location, we had our power and internet go out a few times — always resolved relatively quick, but if you are staying here, you may want a back up way of communication other than the Wi-Fi (which we luckily had.) - This house looked even better than the pictures in person! We had a great time and enjoyed our time here. The journey up the mountain takes about 30 minutes to get to the house and was a little scary at night but it was worth it. The trip to the grocery store on the way helped a lot to be able to stay and enjoy the home. We also had massages by the pool and a chef come and make us dinner and she was Amazing. - This was an incredible stay for us. It was just my wife and I for a quiet getaway. It was beyond expectation. You definitely need a 4WD vehicle to make it up the road from the main highway, but it is not anything dangerous just steep, matter of fact, the roads were in great condition. The privacy is amazing and the view from the pool looks just like the pics. There are a couple small places to eat nearby but we mostly grilled at the house and enjoyed the beauty. The wildlife was amazing…we saw sloths at the bottom of the road up to the house and coatis and tons of varieties of toucans and other birds. An amazing place! - Jody, A.

The Ultimate in Seclusion and Privacy - This is a wonderful property inside and out, with ocean and jungle views to die for. My wife and I spent most of 11days here on the patio and pool deck watching the famous Whales Tail formation appear and disappear with the tides. Great relaxation period after the trials of the pandemic. The wild life are prevalent. We often saw coati and also an agouti walking by the pool. We were visited nightly by 3 huge brown frogs who wanted to share the patio with us. The birds are spectacular. Costa Verde Estates was much more spread out than we had imagined, with very upscale properties on large lots well separated. You were not conscious of any neighbors. The ride up and down needs to be viewed as a Costa Rica adventure. Overall and excellent experience and good value. Highly recommend for couples and families. - Art, C.

The villa is clean and has all the amenities listed. The drive to villa definitely requires a 4x4 and can be a little tough to drive at night for less experience drivers. - My husband and I had a great stay here! The neighborhood is gated and the house was totally private. The outdoor seating areas around the pool are huge, with great views and an awesome infinity pool. The kitchen was nice and had adequate cookware but no condiments. The rooms we large with comfortable beds and good ac units. The shower had a glass door the opened to the outside where there was another outdoor shower, very cool. We found the 25 minute (very precarious) drive up to the property from the main road was challenging to the point where it took away from our overall enjoyment. Unfortunately one of us got very sick and had to call 9-1-1 but the ambulance could not get to us, and we had a flat tire on our jeep from the trek up. This is no fault of the owners just simply a word of caution to folks. Something else worth noting is the internet did not work the whole 5 days that we stayed here which also made for some challenges for checking into flights, etc. With these things aside, I will say again that this place is truly beautiful and we appreciated the cleanliness and beautiful views. - Lauren, R.

Perfect place to relax - Just stay there , love the location, privacy is amazing, views are amazing, we have a coffee in the morning each morning for two hours just enjoying the view... ride to the villa is challenging, I love it , I just wish to have a more powerful car for those tight corners. - This stay was nothing short of amazing, the view was spectacular. In the morning you can hear howler monkeys. In the afternoon we would see Toucan’s, Roadside Hawks, butterflies and more! - Our stay in Dominical was wonderful. The Airbnb specifically was beautiful and secluded. The development and the people there were so nice and helpful. The property manager was so helpful and communicative from months before to during our trip. He helped book a zip lining tour and horseback riding tour for us very close to the Airbnb. He met us after hours and showed us up to the place since the drive was a bit challenging. You definitely need to rent a 4x4 car but once you go up it once, it’s rather fun the next times. We went at the end of rainy season and the roads were still pretty decent to get up to the property. The views from the property were stunning and the pool was wonderful. A slice of Paradise - Our family spent 4 nights in the villa and had a relaxing time. We actually found ourselves content in just staying at the villa watching the birds and listening to all the sounds of the wildlife around us instead of running all over the place to see things. The villa was properly equipped with everything one would need to prepare meals and to cook as well as a washer, dryer and dishwasher.. The infinity pool was refreshing on the hot days sand the view of the whales tail from the villa was spectacular. Getting to the villa, you will definitely a 4x4 as the villa is up in the mountains and the roads are mostly unpaved and steep. Driving at night can also a challenge but it is all worth it if you feel comfortable with driving in Costa Rica. Upon arrival in Dominical, our GPS (Waze) did not get us to the villa but got us close enough to the villa for Oscar to meet us and follow him to the villa. Oscar was a life saver after a long drive from the Liberia area and during our stay, Oscar was available whenever we needed him to give us tips or advice of things to do. The villa is really private but I did wish we knew about the grounds keepers coming and working while we were there. It took them a couple hours to work on the property and it was not a huge deal so we just changed our plans and went into town instead of hanging out. When all said and done, We give the property and Oscar 5 stars for making sure our stay in the villa was enjoyable. We will be back again! - Ray, R.

- We had a great stay. Check in was great, Oscar was there to welcome us and give us a tour and all necessary information. Villa was clean and spacious, exactly as described. As mentioned in other reviews, you must have a 4x4 to access the road that leads to the villa. Its a 20-25 minute intense drive up from the main road. I personally found it unenjoyed because I have an 8 month old baby so It was quite difficult going up and down with the shaking and bumps so we avoided going out often. Beautiful private home with incredible view - We had an amazing stay at Villa Olas Azul. The home is lovely and the view cannot be beat. The pool is fantastic and we used it several times daily. The home is in a quiet, private location, so if you are looking to get away, look no further. That being said, the view and privacy comes at a price. The journey up “the hill” is quite a trek. A 4x4 (as the listing states) is a must. My husband had no problem driving it (while I had a panic attack), but it is a slow and bumpy journey. We did end up leaving the property almost daily to head to Uvita, but the drive may be intimidating for some. There are two restaurants halfway up which we visited (Jolly Roger for bar food, Scala for nicer fare) which were both quite good, so no need to venture all the way down to the bottom for food. The trip down takes 20 or so minutes and Uvita is a short distance away with everything you could need (ATM, Supermarket, beach, restaurants and shops). It is a charming town. We took day trips to Uvita falls, took a tour to Corcovado and Nauyaca falls are not to be missed. Oscar our concierge was wonderful throughout and communicated with us leading up to our stay as well as throughout. We had a mix up with directions from the airport (MAKE SURE GOOGLE MAPS SENDS YOU VIA 34), and we arrived much later than expected. Oscar was so gracious as to wait over an hour for our arrival and then be so welcoming to us after what was a stressful trip. The property and neighborhood (which is great for daily hikes) are filled with wildlife. We saw so many different birds (toucans, 5 types of hummingbirds, parrots, woodpeckers and more, agouti and coatis. Bring your binoculars! If I were being picky, the house could likely use a refresh (paint, some new pots/pans), but altogether it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend it. - Jen, M.

Unbelievable view and tranquility - This property is spectacular. The view is better than what the pictures can show. The pool made the stay! Oscar, the property manager was very professional and very helpful. Although it took about 20 minutes to drive up to the property from the main road, it was worth it for the view. They require a 4-wheel drive to come up to the property, however the road is easy to drive and well maintained. Even in a Costa Rica heavy rain storm the road remained completely drivable and was not muddy or slick. If you are looking for a great house with incredible views that is still close enough to enjoy all the activities and yet give you secluded tranquility in the evenings, this is the place for you!! - Chuck, T.

Amazing Views - We stayed here for one week with our 8 yr old daughter. It’s a good sized house for a family of 2-4. We were sad to leave because the views were just amazing. We enjoyed the ocean view, the pool, and the mountain breezes. We also loved the wildlife we saw both on the property and walking around the development. A sloth visited us a few times in a tree on the property, which was a highlight of our stay. We also saw many toucans, other birds, butterflies, bugs, and the poison dart frog, which was pretty cool to see in the wild. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially well stocked for cooking and grilling. I will say that I was not prepared for the drive up to the house. The reviews do talk about it, but I want to be clear that it’s an intimidating drive up a steep rocky road with switchbacks. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable driving, but my husband did all the driving, so just be aware of that for your own level of comfort. I initially didn’t think we’d leave because I didn’t want to drive that road again, but alas, we did get out everyday and the drive got easier. It’s worth it for the view, but if you are a nervous driver or plan to go in and out a lot, this may not be the best choice for you. Again, we had a wonderful stay there. - First things first. Don’t be afraid of the drive get the rental and hit the road from the airport! Highly recommend booking the 4x4 prior to arrival as 4x4 are popular and needed for most places to travel to so they go fast! Everything about this place was AMAZING!!! The views, amenities, scenery, the toucans and the list goes on! Where do I begin with Oscar! Oscar fantastic host very accommodating. Answered all questions. Use Waze or (Hidden by Airbnb) maps once you access the location and pin. Makes it easier once leaving & coming back. Estebans place was amazing. Highly recommend getting the private chef. - This house was great for a couple days. Absolutely stunning views from the infinity pool and the place has everything you need for a great vacation. Kitchen well stocked with nice appliances. We loved having the grill for our fresh fish. Patio furniture and hammock was nice and relaxing. Air conditioning in the bedroom was comfortable. Bed was way too soft for me but the majority of people like it that way. Make sure to bring bug spray with you! Do not book this place without a 4x4 vehicle, the road is serious steep. Also keep in mind you are high on a mountain, there will be clouds and rain passing by on most days. - Estebans villa is amazing. It had everything we needed. The views are amazing. We went at the end of the rainy season and there were many times the clouds circled the house, and we became one with the rain cloud. You can see the Whale Tale during the day and hear the waves crashing at night. We did not see any monkeys, however, there were plenty of birds, including toucans, and other wildlife. A 4x4 is a must to get to the villa. The roads are steep and mostly unloved. Once you get into the gated villa community the roads are more loose rocks. I cannot express enough how much a 4x4 is a good idea to have. Oscar, from the property management company, met us at the gate and guided us to the villa for check in. He was reachable via (Hidden by Airbnb) and always had a prompt response. During our trip he set up tours for scuba diving, a horseback trail ride to a waterfall, and a zip line tour through the jungle canopy. All of the tour operators were fantastic. I would highly recommend this villa and plan to return. - Mike T.

Million Dollar View in a Beautiful Setting - Awesome! Excellent for a couple , with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, comfortable kitchen, outstanding infinity pool , nice outdoor sitting area and a one million dollar view. Excellent to enjoy the day relaxing in the pool and sunbathing. The house is in a gated community, with well kept natural gardens, total privacy (you do not see nor hear anything from other houses) and immerse in the nature. You need a 4x4 car , the road is a bit steep and well maintained , nothing to worry (just drive slow ). You are 20-30 minutes distance from restaurants , attractions and to the famous wales tail park. In summary it is a great place, with an awesome view in first line on top of the ocean making you feel being at your own private VIP balcony. - Federico C.

Amazing views! - Better than advertised. Ivan and Esteban were incredibly helpful and kind. The views never grow old. Dominical is in a great location to pursue many activities. The bedrooms have strong AC but there is none in the living room/ kitchen. This was not a problem as we were outside most of the time. The need for 4 wheel drive is not an exaggeration. Great stay - Easy booking and communicated with Property Manager Ivan throughout process. Met Ivan and rode up to house. Secluded with great views of Pacific coast and Whales Tail. Lots of wildlife to great us each morning and see at sunset. Chapucin monkeys came thru one morning as well. Lots of amenities at house including beach chairs and a cooler for trips. Ivan set up a Jungle ATV tour for us and advised on tours of Manuel Antonio, which we took advantage of. Great time and will return next February. Enjoy staying in Costa Verde Estates. A piece of paradise - The property is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family. It is wonderfully stocked with all the items you will need to relax (seating, fans, hammock, shade, etc), enjoy staying in (games, books, DVDs, etc), fun in the sun (grill, lounge chairs, etc) and cooking (pots, pans, glasses, etc). If driving on unpaved, steep vertical ascents and descents make you nervous this is not the place for you. The drive is a bit daunting and you must have a good 4X4 vehicle. Property management was easy to reach. We did have a few blips in power surges, but this may have been related to work being done in the area. Nothing that hindered our time there. Unbeschreiblich! - Nach dem Aufenthalt in der Villa muss ich eigentlich alle früheren Bewertungen revidieren. Bzw man muss diesem Haus 6 Sterne geben. Die Lage, der Ausblick, der Pool - Atemberaubend! Du wachst jeden morgen mit einem Grinsen auf, wenn Du aus dem Fenster schaust. Du hast eigentlich nur zwei Herausforderungen, a) entscbeiden ob Du überhaupt das Haus verlassen möchtest un due tolle Ungebung zu erkunden und b) die etwas abenteurliche Anfahrt zu meistern (hier bei darf es wirklich eunes 4*4SUVs und ein wenig Erfahrung beim Auto fahren). Wenn Du die Umgebung erkunden magst hast Du super viele Möglichkeiten und Ivan (unser personal Concierge als wir hier waren) organisiert auf Wunsch alles super. Er ist immer erreichbar und ein super netter Typ. Wir packen jetzt gerade und es würde mich nicht wundern, wenn die ein oder andere Abschiedsträne fliesst! - Björn H.

Paradise - Really loved our stay. A beautiful 3 1/2 hour drive from San Jose with our rented 4 cylinder 4x4 car. We had our doubts about the cars ability to climb the steep drive up the mountain to get to our destination. The car made it but we recommend a 6 or a 8 cylinder 4x4 to get up the mountain. Once your at the house, you have everything you need to feel at home. Very comfortable beds, awesome indoor/outdoor shower and a fully stocked kitchen to cook. There are many tours and local activities to enjoy and at the end of the day come home to the awesome swimming pool to enjoy the sunset view over the Pacific Ocean. Oscar the property manager was very helpful in offering his help in setting up tours etc. If we visit this area again,I would not hesitate to book this house.
